Ali Holloway
Named after the town in Essex, on the face if it, Tilbury is an unlikely place to draw inspiration from, standing as it does as a busy commercial container port. However, since ancient times, a fort has stood there and from the foreshore at the Thames Estuary, where the river spills out to the sea, wetland flora are in abundance.
This unique woven piece made from sisal and paper yarn, is three dimensional.
